‘Cat Person’ is not about consent

Today I have finally had time to  read the New Yorker’s viral short story ‘Cat Person

Internet has gone mad after publication, the story has become the ‘most read piece’ of 2017 and caused an ongoing debate both online and offline

TLDR: a young woman and an older man are both insecure and lacking communication skills.

Here I wrote two more paragraphs, but decided to delete what I have written and leave only one message: Communication is the key!

P.S. Yes, this story is relatable to most of the women in the world, but it is not about consent, abuse or anything like that. This is a story about having no social skills, and I mean both protagonists of the story.
