You can not change history, but you can enjoy it

Below you can see the pictures of people who immigrated to the U.S. between 1892 and 1954. Thanks to the chief registry clerk at Ellis Island and amateur photographer Augustus Francis Sherman, we can see the incredible diversity among those 12 million people who entered the USA through New York’s Ellis Island. Men and women portrayed are wearing their finest clothes, often their national costumes. Original pictures are taken from the New York Public Library. Color reconstruction is made by these guys. And this is awesome!
